Undergraduate Degree: Mining Engineering
Research Title: Enhancing Energy Security in Indonesia: Adding Value to Coal via Gasification
Research Story: The overarching of my research is to make Indonesia reduce its dependency on imported oil and gas by utilizing other energy sources from within the country. With our huge resources of coal, Indonesia could use it to cut oil and gas import through coal downstream process. In my view, I think it is better if we can process coal into more valuable sources of energy like methanol or ammonia. The coal downstream business in Indonesia still has uncertainty. Therefore, my research aims to solve this problem by analyzing all the required aspects to make the business feasible, and lead the nation towards energy security.
