Tyson Murphy

Tyson Murphy currently serves as the Director of Technical Services at Turner Mining Group. Prior to joining TMG, Tyson held various roles in mining engineering and operations leadership at Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in iron ore surface mining operations.

In his current role at Turner Mining Group, Tyson interacts with mining companies, vendors, and manufacturers across a diverse range of commodities and mining scales and is responsible for building systems and integrating new technologies into Turner’s mining operations.

Tyson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mining and Minerals Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2004 followed by his Master of Science degree in Mining and Minerals Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2006.
