Travis Tyndall

Travis Tyndall is the Corporate Director of Operations Excellence at Vulcan Materials, where he supports the development of people, processes, and technology to help operations achieve their goals, from pit to plant. He has a background in aggregates mining operations and technical support and possesses over 20 years of experience in operations, drilling & blasting, training, and operational continuous improvement.

Prior to his current role, Travis managed a Vulcan drilling & blasting program for 5 states, building an internal blasting team and integrating new blasting technology and methods.

Travis completed multiple summer internships at various Vulcan quarries as an undergraduate in Virginia Tech’s mining and minerals engineering department prior to earning his B.S. in Mining Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics in 2008.

Travis’ unique industry perspectives allow him to contribute to the board's efforts in shaping an educational experience that is academically rigorous and applicable to the demands of the industry.
