Congratulations to Dr Xu Tang, our colleague and postdoctoral assoicate at the Virginia Center for Coal and Energy Research. Xu is the recipient of the prestigious Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellowship, which will allow him to carry out his research at the University of Nottingham in cooperation with the GeoEnergy Research Centre.

His research aims to understand the chemical/wetting nature of pore systems in shales, which is essential for improving current fluid transport models. His fellowship begins in August of 2018 and has a duration of two years.
